A cold end to the weekend

Vaseline 1 month ago

It was borderline chilly yesterday as our afternoon high was stuck in the mid-50s with windy conditions. Our wind is also not changing much or decreasing much for today. This leads to an even colder start as we are in the 30s with a strong wind chill. The problem there is that we can see frost in some places. This is most likely north of the Ohio River in Ohio and Indiana.

As we work through the day, it will be another cold day, with temperatures once again only reaching the mid 50s. That’s about 10 degrees below normal for late April. The wind will not be as strong, but still northwesterly at a speed of 10 km/h. This means that you may need the jacket all day long. We should at least see a lot of sun.

We have been placed under a frost advisory for this evening from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. We could see some areas get close to 33° for a low tonight/when we wake up tomorrow morning.

Monday, after the cold start, marks the start of our recovery as temperatures return to the mid 60s. A little cooler than normal, but certainly much closer with a high of 65°. The weather will also be mainly sunny.

We will be back to normal on Tuesday and that also brings a chance of some rain. This seems best later in the evening, but we will keep an eye on it and highlight any changes. Tuesday’s high will be around 67°.
