Marta Kostyuk talks about beating Vondrousova in Stuttgart and having a driver’s license – Tennis Tonic

In an interview after her victory against Marketa Vondrousova in the Stuttgart tournament, Marta Kostyuk discussed the challenging nature of their match. Despite leading 5-1 in the first set, the match went into a tiebreak, which Kostyuk was unhappy with.

She said she had experienced difficult matches against other top players on tour and had to remain patient and open the court as much as possible. Kostyuk also highlighted her impressive career trajectory, having started her career playing against the top 10 players and is currently in the process of defeating several top players, including Vondrousova, the Wimbledon champion. In a lighter moment, Kostyuk revealed a difference between herself and her opponent Rybakina, as she is the only one with a driver’s license.
