Motorcyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries after crash near Glenfield

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision yesterday afternoon (Saturday, April 20). Leicestershire Police said it was called to Gynsill Lane, near Glenfield, just before 3.50pm to a report of a crash between a motorcycle and a car.

Police said there were reports that a black Volkswagen Tiguan and a blue Kawasaki ZX600 were involved in the incident. It said the rider of the motorcycle was a man in his 20s.

Police said no one was arrested following the incident. Detective Inspector Charlotte Wright, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our investigation is still in its early stages.

“However, I would urge anyone who was in Gynsill Lane at the time the collision occurred, but did not stop, to get in touch. I would like to speak to anyone who has a dashcam, who saw the collision happen or who saw any of the vehicles beforehand.
