SHOPPERS are rushing to Wilko’s to pick up bargains to get their gardens ready for summer.

After a wet winter (and a year to date) Brits can’t wait to get back into the garden and enjoy the sun.

But as the cost of living continues to grip the country, spending a lot of money on new furniture may not be possible for those on a tight budget.

But luckily, after the return of Wilko’s, shoppers can decorate their outdoor spaces without spending a fortune.

And with the holidays just around the corner, there’s no better time to start this process than now by taking your outdoor space to the next level with affordable, high-quality products.

In fact, Wilko’s has eliminated hundreds of products, including the Canadian Spa Company’s Grand Rapids Inflatable Spa.

The budget-friendly store has taken £224 off the original price of £499, meaning shoppers can get their hands on one of the devices for £275.

Wilko’s is also selling a four-seater garden patio dining set for £89, and a set of two drinks dispensers with string for £19.99.

Shoppers can outfit their outdoor space with psychedelic multicolored jungle-tropical UV and water-resistant outdoor floor cushions for €54.

To add some light for when the evening comes, Wilko’s is selling a vintage solar-powered LED string light for £14.50.

They also have a 2.3m sun lounger parasol, which costs £34.99, as well as confetti gin glasses for £3, and a Melamine Hawaiian 12 piece waterfront dinner set for £40.

The Canadian spa is a firm favorite among shoppers and currently has a five-star rating online.

Many have taken to TikTok to share their thoughts on the hot tub, with many saying it’s “fantastic.”

Some have even been in it ‘every day since’ they first bought it.

What happened to the original Wilko?

WILKO fell into administration in August last year, before a stream of potential buyers showed interest in buying the ailing company.

The retailer went bankrupt after being hit hard by inflationary pressures, competition from rivals and supply chain challenges.

However, a buyer for the entire business could not be found and in September the retailer announced that all 400 stores would close that same month.

However, several rivals moved in to buy part of Wilko’s store portfolio, including Poundland, which bought 71 stores.

B&M also agreed to buy up to 51 locations as part of a £13 million deal.

The brand had been acquired by The Range in a £5 million deal, meaning the name would live on.

Others have praised the device, saying it’s “the best money I’ve ever spent.”

Wilko has relaunched an essential service just eight months after scrapping it.

The retailer has relaunched its free click-and-collect service, meaning shoppers can choose from more than 30,000 products and collect their wilko.com orders from more than 200 locations.

Items ordered through the service can be picked up within two hours’ notice.

Having successfully completed pilot stores in Exeter, Luton and Plymouth, Wilko has continued its store rollout program with recent launches in St. Albans and Rotherham.

More store openings are planned for the remainder of 2024.

Alex Simpkin, CEO of CDS Superstores, trading as Wilko, said: “We are receiving great feedback as we reopen Wilko stores as part of our ongoing rollout programme.

“We also receive many requests from loyal customers asking when their town or city will be next.

“This latest addition to wilko.com means we can make products immediately available in more than 200 new locations, making it easy for busy customers and their families to get the things they need for their home and garden chores.”
