Real Madrid will aim to move one step closer to lifting the La Liga title when they take on FC Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu later tonight.

Real Madrid currently sit at the top of the table, eight points ahead of Barca in second place. And another win tonight would extend their lead to 11 points, all but guaranteeing their coronation as Spanish champions.

It won’t be easy if Barcelona is motivated after the defeat to PSG in the UEFA Champions League, while fatigue afterwards could also be a factor Los Blancos He toiled for 120 minutes against Man City earlier this week.

Ahead of the match, Real Madrid have one fitness problem as Ferland Mendy did not train on Saturday due to some strain in his left leg despite being included in the squad list by Carlo Ancelotti.

Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba are the only absentees due to injuries at the leader and so Real Madrid could line up against Xavi Hernandez’s team tonight.

Fresh from his heroic penalty shootout against Manchester City, Andri Lunin will once again guard Real Madrid’s goal and hope to help his team win another crucial victory.

Antonio Rudiger has been in brilliant form this season and is a guaranteed starter at the heart of the Merengues’ defense. The Germany international should work with the club captain Nacho Fernandez to stop Robert Lewandowski & co.

Even though there has been some talk about Lucas Vazquez at right back, Dani Carvajal is expected to get the nod as usual.

However, Mendy’s possible absence could pave the way for that Eduardo Camavinga to start at left-back for Real Madrid, with Ancelotti likely to trust the French midfielder in a makeshift role versus Fran Garcia.

Aurelien Tchouameni is back after missing the match against Manchester City due to suspension and will feature as a defensive midfielder against Barcelona.

Federico Valverde And Toni Kroos will take the two internal midfield positions for Real Madrid Judas Bellingham will act as the lone attacking midfielder.

However, it won’t be a surprise to see Real Madrid switch to a 4-4-2, with Valverde and Bellingham moving out wide on the right and left flanks respectively.

Rodrygo goes And Vinicius Jr. are the undisputed starters at the top of the attack, with the former likely to operate from the left after his recent success, while the latter will play slightly more centrally.

Real Madrid predicted line-up: Lunin, Carvajal, Rudiger, Nacho, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde, Kroos, Bellingham, Vinicius, Rodrygo.

Brahim Diaz And Luka Modric are players that Carlo Ancelotti counts on from the bench every game and that will not change tonight against Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Joselu is also an option that Ancelotti could make use of if he wanted to make changes in the attacking unit.

Eder Militao Depending on the game situation, Ancelotti could also get some minutes, as Ancelotti hopes to get the Brazilian into the match rhythm in time for the confrontation with Bayern Munich.
