Please read below for important information regarding the closure of Camilla Care:
For over 50 years, Camilla Care Community has been a caring place for seniors in Mississauga to call home. This is an enormous feat that could not have been accomplished without the effort and commitment of our residents, families, staff and community.
Partners Community Health (PCH) took over as administrator of Camilla Care on April 1, 2022. To meet the future health care needs of Mississauga residents, Trillium Health Partners, the owner of the building and land, intends to use the property that Camilla is currently situated on as a part of the future footprint of the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital.
For this reason, Camilla will close in late fall 2023. The home’s official closing date, however, will be based on the needs of our transitioning residents and Camilla will not close until all residents are safely relocated.
We recognize that Camilla has left a lasting impact that will not and cannot be forgotten. We also know that this news will have a direct impact on our residents, families and staff. Please know that we will be here every step of the way to support you and to make this transition as smooth as possible.
